Journey Journal Entry 8.29


Happy Monday! I don’t know about y’all but my Monday morning didn’t start with a routine and I definitely noticed how this throws off my day. While this wasn’t an intentional derailment, it forced me to reflect on how this type of disruption affects not only my mood but my day.


I couldn’t spend my normal morning time focusing on mindset but I made sure to get this in during lunch. I chose today's mindset to be on self reflection and understanding why certain things (like routine disruption) affects my mood. I used this time to meditate doing a full body scan. Really paying attention to where I was holding tension and what that felt like. What was causing it? What words or images keep arising?


Reflection is so important in not only understanding who we are but how our surroundings affect us. Being able to reflect on ourselves allows us to Embrace, Empower and then Grow.

Reflection Affirmation:

I give myself permission to be quiet and reflect. I EMBRACE my past and I'm thankful for lessons learned.
